The tasks of support team

Since 2009, the funding programme/area "Biomass energy use" has been scientifically supported by the support team with the aim of networking and knowledge transfer. Since 2016 the programme is part of the Research Network Bioenergy. The support team sees itself as an independent forum and represents the entire Research Network "Bioenergy". It thus forms an interface between key players from science, business, politics and the multipliers.

Our approach

We support all projects involved in the network in particular through:

  • Networking: targeted networking of projects and other actors
  • Transfer of results: preparation and communication of the results to the key players
  • External presentation of the entire Research Network Bioenergy (media and public relations work)
  • Dialogue with science, politics and practice
  • Coordination of approaches to method harmonisation in the funding area and in the research community

and serves as a general contact for network participants and interested parties. Its own website, publications, press work, topic-specific workshops and regular status conferences are among the numerous publicity activities in the research network. The support team initiates networking activities and makes the work of the projects accessible to a broad public.

What is not part of the tasks?

The support team is not involved in the funding advice for outlines and applications, including the evaluation and selection process, as well as the technical and administrative handling of the projects. The project management organisation Jülich (PtJ) is exclusively responsible for this on behalf of the BMWi.
