Bremerhaven, February 07, 2017 - The extensive energetic use of leaves, grass and water maintenance material has failed so far due to the difficult fuel properties of these residues. The IbeKET project (FKZ 03KB088) now shows that, with suitable processing technology and the use of electrostatic precipitators, it would be possible to use materials that are not currently considered standard fuels in small combustion plants. Requirements for comparable standard fuels can then be met.
