Hydrocon - High Methane Yield with Flexible Gas Production

Development of a hydrolysis container to increase substrate utilization and flexible gas production

Templin, October 05, 2016 - There are almost 9,000 biogas plants in Germany. A major challenge for the industry is to lead them flexibly and economically into the future of biogas. In the Hydrocon project (03KB082), STEROS GmbH, the University of Rostock and IBZ Hohen Luckow have developed a plant component in the form of the hydrolysis container, which primarily enables increased substrate utilisation and flexible gas production. This contributes to improving the cost-effectiveness of biogas plants.
