Wood-fired Power Plants for Self-Sufficient Power Supply are Ready for Series Production

Pilot plant for decentralised gasification of residual wood pellets is in continuous operation

Neufahrn in Lower Bavaria, April 19, 2016 - New wood gasification plants in the low output range can generate electricity locally, economically and effectively in addition to heat using waste pellets. Such plants are ideal above all for residential settlements and local heating networks in forestry and agriculture and for industry. Positive results in this area were delivered by the project "Mini-Bio-KWK - Transfer of a prototype for the decentralized gasification of residual wood pellets into series production" carried out by Spanner Re² GmbH and RWTH Aachen University and supported by the BMWi.
