Topic
The project “BioMunicipal – Build-up of a nationwide local bioenergy-network and mobilisation activities to boost the utilisation of bioenergy in municipalities” includes the following program components:
- Formation of a project advisory board and realisation of a questionary to identify the structure of the target group in local municipalities, their demand for information and communication regarding the utilisation of bioenergy.
- Realisation of a nationwide road-show “Bioenergy in municipalities”: Practical workshops and lectures on municipal trade fairs and conferences.
- Demonstration trials to selected best-practice bioenergy facilities (respectively 2 in 2011, 2012 amd 2013)
- Project-oriented information in the internet and an adequate public relation.
- Establishment of a municipal league for best practice municipal utilisation of biomass and waste material with an award ceremony.
Aims
- Establishment of a nationwide network for municipalities working with bioenergy
- Initiation and Mobilisation activities for an increased insert of bioenergy in municipalities
- Focus on bigger and urban municipalities
- In particular mobilisation of energy recovery of waste material and biological waste
- Focus on innovative technologies with multiplier effect
- Integration of adequate research projects of the support program of the ministry for environment (BMU)
Measures
BBE
- Furthermore the German Bioenergy Association is responsible for the implementation of the following work packages.
- Formation of a project advisory board and realisation of a questionary to identify the structure of the target group in local municipalities, their demand for information and communication regarding the utilisation of bioenergy.

CARMEN
There will be record all of bioenergy in a commune and flow as evaluation criteria in the league with a bioenergy. There are special reviews it here for the use of biogenic residues and organic waste, and innovative technologies has a multiplier effect.

- Project-oriented information in the internet and an adequate public relation by writing press releases, organising press conferences and establishing a website.
