The project aims to develop and communicate a guideline for CHP applications running on biomethane according to the Renewable Energy Act 2012 (EEG). It focuses on options of direct marketing and demand-oriented production which have been created in the EEG 2012 for the first time (see § 33g and § 33i EEG 2012).
A comprehensive analysis from a legal, economical and technical perspective will be provided in the guideline aiming at enhanced use of biomethane in CHP, thus contributing to climate protection in an efficient manner.
The German EEG regulation is rather complex, especially in the case of biogas. Providing market actors detailed technical, economical and legal information as well as attractive ways of direct marketing, the guideline aims to deliver practical support for projects with biomethane in CHP.
The guideline is being produced together with market stakeholders, research institutes, the German Energy Agency and a law firm.
In its final and full version it will be a 150 pages pdf file. A printed and layouted summary will be available as well (both in German).
