Innovative process concept for efficient, demand-oriented production of biogas from organic waste by separate recovery of the separated liquid components from household biowaste in fermentation tanks of municipal sewage treatment plants

Aim

The aim of the project is to demonstrate a cost-effective process concept for the flexible energetic use of domestic biowaste together with sewage sludge. Biowaste press water (PW) is to be used in digestion towers of municipal sewage treatment plants for demand-oriented biogas production. At the same time the efficient use of the solid components of the biowaste (aBA) is to be maintained. The pilot project is intended to demonstrate the flexible adaption of biogas production to the company's own energy requirements and, possibly, to the electricity market.
