According to studies, the feedstock straw has significant potential for the energy use of biomass. In order to put the theoretical possibilities to practical use, the development of suitable process and plant technology is still urgently needed. For this reason, the project focuses on the production of straw pellets and their use by means of gasification. As a comparable research has not yet been described, the approaches to optimize the gasifier and for quality assurance of the straw pellets are new and innovative.
